The new Surface Duo
Microsoft returns to the world of cell phones with Surface Duo, an ambitious smartphone version that marks the company’s return to the cell phone market and Microsoft’s debut in the new category of next-generation folding devices.
What is Surface Duo?
About a year ago Microsoft introduced this new model of smartphone that aims to combine the best of a laptop and a tablet.
These were the statements of Panos Panay, their Product Manager:
“We didn’t set out to combine two existing devices: the tablet and the laptop. We had a vision of how we could take the best elements of each to create something completely new. To find the perfect intersection of hardware and software we unlocked a more intuitive way to work and create.”
The main idea behind the launch of the new Surface Duo is to capture those users who need to be productive with their smart phones, without relying on a laptop.
For this, the new Surface Duo combines two 5.6-inch screens that work with Android, in addition to other features that I want to tell you more about.

When Surface Duo will be available
After many suspicions and wrong predictions, the new Surface Duo will be released on September 10th, although you may not have heard, as this initial release will only cover the United States.
Some journalists and specialized personalities like Daniel Rubino or David Imel have already received a version of the product and are testing it before the rest of the public. First impressions speak of a product that is totally different from what has been seen before.
Surface Duo Price
One of the most important data that we all want to know is what the final price of the New Surface Duo is and the company has expressed itself about this in one of the articles in its official blog.
As you have already imagined the Surface Duo is not cheap, as its initial price is $1,399.99.
In this version, you will get 128 gigs of capacity and if you want the 256 gigs version you will have to pay 100 dollars more.
This price puts it in direct competition with the Motorola Razr (1,499) and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip (1,300).
After several failures, such as the mobile operating system or the failed purchase of Nokia in 2013, Microsoft will try to achieve success with the new Surface Duo.
Remember that if you want to have it in your pocket you can easily purchase it with our Visa Bitsa card without a bank account and help Bill Gates’ company to finally position itself as a valuable option within the world of smartphones.
